2019 POTW Pretreatment Program Training Workshop

Join us June 26-28 at this free two and a half day training in historic Marietta, Georgia!

US EPA is providing this workshop for professionals charged with the day-to-day implementation of a State or EPA authorized publicly owned treatment works (POTW) pretreatment program. If you are responsible for routinely developing or applying pollutant limits to control industrial discharges into wastewater treatment plants, then this workshop is for you!

Studies will focus on ascertaining the applicability of pretreatment discharge standards and properly calculating and applying standards to discharges into a POTW. Competency will be gained through many applied examples. Experienced state and federal pretreatment regulatory personnel will also be on hand for questions, and networking breaks will be provided.

Registration: Seating capacity is limited, so please register in advance for this workshop via the Register link on this page; each individual attending needs to register separately and obtain their own virtual ticket (i.e., no group 'tickets'). When prompted, select the virtual ticket type that most closely corresponds to your representation (e.g., "POTW" for local regulator, or "State" for state regulator) and then follow the instructions thereafter to register.

• Wait List: If seating capacity has been reached, then an option to be wait-listed will be shown by the ticket type when registering. Selecting that option will result in a wait-list confirmation being emailed to you. If capacity can be added, or a seat otherwise becomes available, then you will automatically receive notice and directions for completing your registration. If you receive such a notice, then you will need to complete your registration within two days of being notified, or your seat will be automatically released and offered to the next wait-listed individual.

• Cancellation: If you find after registering that you are unable to attend, then please cancel your registration so it may allow someone who may be wait-listed to attend in your place. Just log into Eventbrite, go to the Tickets page, and locate your registration order. Click your order to view order details, and then select "Cancel Order" to cancel your registration.

Hotel: A limited block of rooms at the Hilton Atlanta/Marietta Conference Center are secured for a special rate of $116 per night until June 4, 2019. After that date, the rack rate will be offered, pending availability. One may either book online with this special link or call Hilton reservations at 1-800-421-7275 and request the EPA Region 4 Pretreatment Training rate. Any cancellation of reserved accomodations would need to occur at least two days before arrival to avoid non-refundable charges.

Continuing Education Credits: US EPA and Region 4 States are presently coordinating to provide CE credits for this workshop with operator licensing agencies. Please complete the relevant license information when registering if you have an interest in obtaining credit hours.
